PROJECT SELECTION CRITERIA
Projects must benefit the African community mainly 15 countries however we are also open to other African countries not part of these 15.
The services of the organisation must be available to all people without discrimination, regardless of race, gender, ethnic origin or religion.
Projects must be sustainable and have continuation plans. Requests should address basic needs in health, education, water and shelter, focusing on long term assistance (e.g. clean water supply, sanitation facilities, school construction or repair, classroom furniture, educational or vocational materials/equipment, medical equipment, special needs support.)
Applicant organisations must be registered as charities with their government.
The project selected should promote BitAfric in all marketing and communication documents as well as all campaigns.
CONDITIONS FOR FUNDING
Maximum funding allowed is €3,000 or equivalent in US dollars.
Funds may be used only for the project presented and approved. The BitAfric Foundation must endorse any change in the utilisation of funds in advance.
The BitAfric Foundation monitors the projects to ensure that funds are used for the intended purpose. On completion of the project, a written report is submitted to the Foundation by the organisation, including a financial accounting of fund utilisation as well as the marketing and promotional materials related to BitAfric.
BITAFRIC FOUNDATION DOES NOT FUND
Operational or administrative costs, salaries, taxes, rent, fees, study session expenses, transportation fees, large-scale construction projects, micro-credit or income generating schemes.
Food and emergency aid i.e. natural disaster, conflict areas etc...
