ABOUT US

The BitAfric Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in Cameroon. Our
mission is to advance BitAfric for the good of African societies by developing and
promoting state-of- the-art blockchain technologies.

WHAT IS BITAFRIC?

BitAfric is a peer-to- peer Internet currency that enables instant, near-zero cost
payments to anyone in the world.

BitAfric is an open source, global payment network that is fully decentralised without any central authorities. Mathematics secures the
network and empowers individuals to control their own finances.

BitAfric features faster transaction confirmation times and improved storage efficiency than the leading math- based currency. With substantial community support, trade volume and liquidity, BitAfric is a proven medium of commerce complementary to other African currencies including Franc CFA.

BitAfric will not use traditional banking system (BCEAO, BEAC, nor any foreign Treasury). BitAfric is not backed by a central bank, it does not have legal tender but rather, will be used and accepted by a community of users.
